We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Front Door Therapy team at Lincoln County Hospital. As a senior member of the team, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with complex conditions, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to promote independence and facilitate safe discharges.
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering patient-centred care. You will be responsible for assessing patients, formulating treatment plans, and managing clinical risk within your patient caseload.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake comprehensive assessments of patients with diverse or complex presentations, using clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis.
- Formulate and deliver individual physiotherapy treatment programmes based on evidence-based practice and treatment options.
- Take delegated responsibility for managing patients with complex conditions and provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment plans.
- Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consent, and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment.
- Manage clinical risk within your patient caseload.
- Comply with the Trust Manual Handling Policy and local therapeutic handling guidance at all times.
- Deal sensitively with patients who have high levels of anxiety and aggression caused by pain, dementia, or limited mobility.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient treatment records in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) standards of practice.
