About the RoleThe Strategic Growth Consultant is responsible for driving commercial growth, developing service areas, and ensuring the quality of our delivery against clients' current and future needs. They will lead the development of intellectual property and approaches within their service area, using this for sales and team training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategy and resources to create competitive differentiation.
- Lead and manage project teams, enhancing strategic thinking across team members.
- Understand client KPIs and objectives, building great client relationships.
- Ensure work is designed to exceed client expectations.
- Navigate difficult conversations with clients and provide challenging but constructive feedback.
- Communicate complex ideas clearly, securing alignment across audiences.
- Act as an ambassador for the vision, values, and strategy of the business internally and externally.
- Effectively lead a team, building morale even under difficult circumstances.
- Maintain excellent quality and timeliness of work.
- Organize tasks/workstreams to create high-performing teams.
- Provide regular and consistent feedback to get the best out of the team.
- Accountable for a significant revenue target.
- Identify new opportunities that extend Avalere Health's capabilities across Consulting and the organization.
- Negotiate strategic and professional agreements with a major positive impact on the business.
- Proactively identify and implement approaches to improve margin and profitability.
We are seeking an experienced professional with:
- At least 7 years of experience within life science/healthcare consulting.
- Experience working with a range of pharmaceutical and biotech organizations to deliver commercial strategy across a range of therapeutic areas.
- A deep understanding of our operating environment, industry, and market factors that affect the role and firm.
- Experience in building go-to-market models for clients, including analyzing resources, organizational structure, and capabilities.
- A proven track record in business development with a strong network.
- The ability to pick up and develop client relationships and opportunities from first interaction.
Avalere Health Consulting leads strategic engagements with clients and is comprised of three main areas: Advisory, Expert Partnerships, and Training. The Advisory team focuses on two main pillars:
- Corporate strategy, portfolio planning, business development, commercial diligence, new product planning.
- Launch strategy, go-to-market, customer engagement, organizational transformation.
