Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Hospitality Operations Manager to enhance our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring that every visitor departs with a memorable experience while contributing to the growth and development of our hospitality team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience Management: Oversee hospitality services, ensuring all guest areas are impeccably maintained and that customer service exceeds expectations. Manage the setup and execution of outstanding guest experiences.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise the hospitality team during service, providing training and support to maintain high performance. Responsible for recruiting seasonal staff and managing schedules.
  • Service Standards: Uphold and enforce service standards, training staff to ensure consistency in guest interactions. Implement feedback systems to continuously enhance service quality.
  • Event Coordination: Manage daily operations for both private and public events, ensuring smooth execution and maximizing guest satisfaction.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist in budget management, cost control, and weekly financial reviews. Share accountability for revenue and inventory management.
  • Technology Management: Ensure effective use of technology and systems within the hospitality department to promote efficient operations.
  • Housekeeping Standards: Maintain high cleanliness and organization standards in guest areas and throughout the estate.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all hospitality operations adhere to health and safety regulations, including food hygiene and licensing laws.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with retail and operations managers to ensure seamless business operations.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a hospitality supervisory or management role, preferably in a high-end or boutique environment.
  • WSET Level 2 or 3 certification is preferred, with a strong appreciation for English wines.
  • Degree-level education or higher in hospitality or business management is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently with customers and team members.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
  • Familiarity with hospitality management software and basic IT skills.
