The NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) serves as the principal organization dedicated to addressing all aspects of economic crime prevention, detection, and investigation within the NHS.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will possess extensive expertise in investigative methodologies, legal frameworks, and best practices. Your role will be pivotal in establishing and upholding quality benchmarks and procedural guidelines across the NHS Counter Fraud Authority's National Investigation Service.

In collaboration with the Head of Operations and the National Operations Manager, you will implement and supervise a comprehensive quality assurance framework that identifies potential risks and provides assurance to senior management regarding serious and complex fraud investigations.

The successful candidate will be expected to continuously enhance their knowledge and skills concerning investigative legislation, practices, and procedures. You will also offer guidance and support to various departments in achieving and maintaining both internal and external quality standards in investigation and enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the designated Quality Officer for the National Investigation Service, ensuring adherence to investigative quality management standards. This includes managing documentation, monitoring the effectiveness of quality control measures, and collecting relevant data, including client feedback.
  • Oversee the design, development, execution, and evaluation of audit schedules to fulfill quality assurance standards, ensuring comprehensive coverage through diverse audit types.

We maintain policies and procedures to ensure that all applicants are treated equitably throughout the recruitment process, including reasonable adjustments for candidates with disabilities.

In this role, you will lead the review of investigative processes within the National Investigation Service, providing support in the creation of clear and accessible written guidance, procedures, strategies, protocols, and agreements necessary for achieving quality management standards.

You will also manage the repository of NHSCFA investigative Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality assurance processes, detailing roles, responsibilities, review dates, and requirements.

Additionally, you will develop and implement a strategic approach to maintaining quality standards and processes for NHSCFA investigative activities.

It is essential to raise awareness of investigative standards and quality management processes within the NHSCFA.

Collaboration with all business units will be crucial to ensure the identification and management of risks and issues pertinent to the development and implementation of quality standards for investigations.
