Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Unipart Manufacturing Group. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer and Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure their quality needs are met.
  • Quality Control Methods: Develop and implement quality control methods and gauging systems to meet customer expectations.
  • Control Plans: Develop and maintain control plans to ensure compliance with internal procedures and industry standards.
  • Quality Audits: Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with internal procedures, ISO9001, IATF16494, and VDA6.3.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve quality-related issues using the 8D approach with a cross-functional team.
  • Data Analysis: Design and analyze data to support problem-solving activities and drive business improvement.
  • Quality KPIs: Manage and communicate quality key performance indicators to internal and external customers.
  • Customer Portals: Administer customer portals for quality metrics and problem-solving.
  • Statistical Analysis: Conduct statistical analysis of processes and MSA studies.
  • New Product Introduction: Support the introduction of new products to ensure quality standards are met.
  • IMDS Reports: Create and submit IMDS reports as required.
Requirements:
  • Quality Engineering Background: Proven experience in quality engineering with a strong understanding of quality systems.
  • APQP and PPAP Processes: Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes and their application in the automotive industry.
  • Automotive Manufacturing Background: Experience in automotive manufacturing with a strong understanding of quality systems and processes.
  • Process Improvement: Proven ability to improve processes using 8D, FMEA, SPC, and other quality tools.
  • Lean Manufacturing Techniques: Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and their application in the automotive industry.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in computer software and systems, including customer portals.
  • Full Driving License: Possession of a full driving license.
  • Education: HNC level or equivalent in a relevant field, or relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coach others.
