Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to provide support to our Management Accountant in delivering a comprehensive finance service to our college.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently, while maintaining good supplier relations.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to ensure all invoices have been recorded and/or paid.
  • Process purchase orders and manage BACS payment processing.
  • Raise invoices and credit notes to customers and students, and allocate payments received.
  • Manage debt recovery and send reminders for late payments.
  • Prepare and reconcile petty cash and daily banking.
  • Arrange BACS payments for authorized bursary payments, student refunds, and other manual payments.
  • Operate the online payments portal and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist the Management Accountant in maintaining the Financial Information System and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to financial queries from students and staff.
  • Contribute to month-end and annual procedures, and assist with financial reporting.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
