About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Responder to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our First Response Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop crisis and safety plans to ensure individuals receive the necessary support and care.
  • Work collaboratively with other mental health services, police, ambulance services, and local authorities to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Implement evidence-based clinical interventions and make autonomous clinical decisions about your professional practice.
  • Provide assessment, planning, and implementation of individual packages of care and treatment.
  • Ensure that individual episodes of care are delivered in a timely, effective, and integrated manner.
Requirements
  • Mental Health Nurse Qualification or Social Work Qualification OR adult/LD nursing qualification with mental health experience.
  • Current NMC/HCPC Registration.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience in mental health care/treatment relevant to the service.
  • Working with people presenting in mental health crisis.
  • Multi-agency working/working across service interfaces.
  • Working within a multicultural framework.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Clinical supervision qualification.
  • Teaching, training, and/or supervision of clinical staff.
  • Brief psychological interventions/strategies for managing crisis.
  • RiO and SystmOne PAS.
