Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to provide vital administrative support within a prestigious international law firm. This role is based in London and offers a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain precise records in the HR Information System (Workday) for employee transitions, including new hires, departures, and internal transfers.
  • Draft HR-related correspondence utilizing DocuSign, such as letters for probation completions, reference requests, and communications regarding salary reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Payroll department to oversee payroll adjustments and benefits modifications.
  • Assist with visa application processes and renewals as directed by the Immigration Advisor.
  • Coordinate the exit process for departing employees, ensuring proper documentation and holiday confirmations.
  • Manage the HR section on the intranet and support performance appraisal procedures.
  • Facilitate annual salary and bonus review processes.
  • Address holiday inquiries, oversee year-end holiday procedures, and maintain records of sickness absences.
  • Handle electronic filing, staff gifts, and welcome hampers for new parents.
  • Develop proficiency in Workday, identifying opportunities for process improvements and ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Oversee invoice payments and contribute to various project tasks as needed.

Lateral Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Engage with recruitment agencies and coordinate interview schedules.
  • Manage the onboarding process, including conducting background checks, medical assessments, and conflict checks.
  • Organize induction sessions, procure IT equipment, and support recruitment initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 18 months of relevant experience, preferably within the legal or professional services sector.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with experience in HR databases.
  • An innovative approach and a dedication to providing outstanding client service.
