Trainee Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Childrens Wellbeing Practitioner. As a key member of our Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Service (CYPMHS), you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver low-intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) interventions to children and young people in a training capacity.
- Work with children and young people from diverse cultural backgrounds and underserved populations, using interpreters when necessary.
- Meet targets set within the service and contribute to the effective development of the CYPMHS.
- Successfully complete training on the Postgraduate Diploma in Children Wellbeing Practitioner course at Northumbria University within 12 months.
- Willingness to undertake and successfully complete training in the Postgraduate Diploma in Children Wellbeing Practitioner at Northumbria University within 12 months.
- Be educated to degree level to access the Postgraduate Diploma course as per the University requirements.
- Experience of working to support the mental health needs of children, young people, and their families.
- Knowledge and experience of safeguarding and the promotion of welfare in children and young people.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other associated IT packages.
- Proven organisational skills and ability to work flexibly in a variety of environments.
- Ability to engage vulnerable and underserved populations and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
