We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner. As a key member of our Children and Young People's Mental Health Service, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based low-intensity psychological therapies to children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver psychological interventions in a training capacity to children and young people with a range of common mental health problems.
- Use evidence-based interventions, such as Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, to deliver group work interventions to parents, children and young people.
- Work with children and young people from diverse cultural backgrounds and underserved populations, using interpreters when necessary.
- Meet targets set within the service and successfully complete training on the Postgraduate Diploma in Children Wellbeing Practitioner course at Northumbria University.
- Be educated to degree level to access the Postgraduate Diploma course.
- Have experience of working to support the mental health needs of children, young people and their families.
- Have experience of working within the community or education setting.
- Have knowledge and experience of safeguarding and the promotion of welfare in children and young people.
