Children and Young People Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Children and Young People's Mental Health Service as a Trainee Systemic Family Practitioner. As a member of our team, you will work with children and young people and their families who have a range of mental health problems that can benefit from a systemic family intervention.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based psychological therapies to children and young people and their families using systemic family practice.
- Work with children and young people and families from different cultural backgrounds and underserved populations, using interpreters when necessary.
- Successfully complete the Post Graduate Diploma in Evidence Based Psychological Therapies (Systemic Family Practice) course at Northumbria University within 12 months.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Professional qualification in teaching, nursing, social work, AHP, counselling or within a psychological therapy.
- Experience of working in a children and young people's mental health service.
- Experience of offering assessments and treatments to children, young people and their families.
- Knowledge and experience of safeguarding and the promotion of welfare in children and young people.
