We are seeking an experienced strategic leader to join our team as a Strategic Operations Manager at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver ambitious plans to establish the East of England Research Delivery Network (RDN).
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership
- Ensure research sites have an appropriate level of funding to support and deliver core NHS service support activities.
- Work collaboratively with regional R&D departments to support the delivery of studies.
- Manage, coordinate, and deliver key RRDN services, including Study Support Service, Agile Research Support, and Commercial Services.
- Coordinate AcoRD Specialists and National Contract Value Reviewers.
- Manage budgets for RRDN hosted services, NHS support costs allocation, and Operations element of RRDN funding allocation.
- Lead regional and national initiatives to support research delivery needs of the life sciences industry.
- Business Planning
- Review, evaluate, and approve research site delivery plans.
- Periodically monitor performance against plans to ensure RDN funding is used effectively.
- Contribute to oversight and development of RRDN business, financial, strategic development, and impact plans.
- Qualifications
- Masters level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Skills
- Proven leadership skills in managing change.
- Proven interpersonal skills to work with clinical and management colleagues at all levels.
- Demonstrates understanding and commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
- Experience
- Direct experience of business planning and robust financial management at an appropriate scale.
- Significant experience of managing a large budget with solid knowledge of financial process requirements.
