Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced strategic leader to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As the Regional Research Delivery Network Leader, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering ambitious plans to establish the East of England RRDN.

Working closely with the Network Director, you will be responsible for ensuring research sites have an appropriate level of funding in line with their plans to support and deliver the core NHS service support activities. You will also be responsible for managing a large budget with solid knowledge of financial process requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership

You will be responsible for working in collaboration with regional R&D departments to support those departments in the delivery of their studies. Additionally, you will be responsible for the management, coordination, and delivery of key RRDN services, including Study Support Service, Agile Research Support, and Commercial Services.

You will also be responsible for budgetary management for the RRDN hosted services, NHS support costs allocation, and the Operations element of the RRDN funding allocation.

Business Planning

You will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and approving research site delivery plans, and periodically performance monitoring against those plans to ensure that RDN funding is being used appropriately and effectively.

You will also contribute to the oversight and development of RRDN business, financial, strategic development, and impact plans, and associated reports.

Person SpecificationQualifications

Masters level qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant field is essential. You must also have significant experience of managing a large budget with solid knowledge of financial process requirements.

Skills

You must have proven leadership skills in the management of change, and proven interpersonal skills to work with clinical and management colleagues at all levels across a range of organisations. You must also be an effective role model, demonstrating NNUH's PRIDE values of People focussed, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence.

Experience

You must have direct experience of business planning and robust financial management at an appropriate scale, and significant experience of managing a large budget with solid knowledge of financial process requirements.

You will be required to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and must be able to develop strong working relationships with senior stakeholders. You must also be able to demonstrate understanding and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
