About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial and Contracts Manager to join our team at L3Harris Technologies. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial and commercial interests of the company are optimized, contractual obligations are met, and associated risks are highlighted and actively managed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Expertise: Provide commercial expertise to ensure that the financial and commercial interests of the company are optimized, contractual obligations are met, and associated risks are highlighted and actively managed.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and oversee the commercial terms of bids, contracts, and agreements, lead negotiations, and ensure that stakeholders are informed of the terms of contract and made aware of the risks/opportunities identified therein.
  • Contract Governance: Ensure that appropriate contractual governance is applied throughout the lifecycle of a contract (i.e., from proposal to termination/expiration). Commercial policies and procedures shall be communicated and operated so as to achieve the goal of conducting business with integrity at all times.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Act as a focal point for customer correspondence, including but not limited to proposal reviews, post-award engagements such as change orders, terminations, novation/name changes, and other contract-related matters.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide weekly/monthly commercial reports as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a Business or Law-related subject.
  • Experience: Typically 7+ years demonstrable working knowledge and first-hand experience of commercial management.
  • Skills: Demonstrable experience in reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions within a commercial environment, experience of managing customer contracts and/or subcontractor contracts, ability to undertake international travel.
