Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join a prominent provider of packaging solutions. This full-time position involves collaborating with a dedicated team to oversee and execute innovative machinery projects across various client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Engineer, you will report directly to the Lead Project Engineer and work alongside two other engineers. Your primary duties will include:

  • Managing and implementing new machinery projects at customer sites.
  • Engaging in technical training and conducting machine acceptance tests.
  • Clarifying technical and commercial details of specific inquiries and orders.
Professional Development:

Participate in site project review meetings and assist Sales Managers during client visits and presentations, which will enhance your professional network and expertise.

Project Oversight:

Oversee the financial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring profitability and effective tracking of new machinery initiatives.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations during installations, supporting the company's quality management system.

Operational Duties:

Utilize the company's internal ERP system to manage new machinery orders, including:

  • Raising purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Preparing layout proposals in collaboration with CAD specialists.
  • Coordinating the delivery and collection of machinery.
  • Managing project timelines and identifying contract variations.
  • Planning and executing on-site installations.
Required Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in technical project management within the engineering or manufacturing sectors.
  • Knowledge of automated packaging solutions is advantageous.
  • Strong commercial insight with the ability to manage project finances, timelines, and costs.
  • Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Salesforce CRM, and ERP systems.
