About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to lead our Authentication and Identity team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our Corporate Functions team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of innovative authentication solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Authentication Technology Stack: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our authentication technology stack, including device intelligence and ID&V solutions.
  • Deliver End-to-End Authentication Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement an end-to-end authentication strategy that optimizes fraud prevention, client experience, and cost of authentication.
  • Drive Strategies Using Data: Utilize data from multiple systems and vendor integration to drive strategies that optimize existing journeys and identify future risks.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements as part of Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2).
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Identify future risks driven by product or channel development and mitigate these risks through appropriate strategies.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product teams, payments, engineering, technology, risk, and other stakeholders to ensure key partners are aware of the importance of authentication.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively across teams and gain credibility by understanding end-to-end impacts of authentication strategies.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the firm, including business, technology, product management, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, and technology control functions.
  • Monitor and Optimize Model Performance: Develop a strong working relationship with the specialist Risk Models team to monitor and optimize model performance.
  • Share Best Practices: Act as a subject matter expert for authentication and share best practices across the firm.
Requirements
  • Formal Training or Certifications: Possess formal training or certifications and advanced applied experience in authentication and identity.
  • Experience in Fraud or Authentication: Have experience in a first or second line fraud or authentication role, in a policy, strategy, or analytics specialism.
  • Agile Environment Experience: Have experience of delivering in an agile environment.
  • Authentication Strategy Experience: Have experience of working with authentication strategy and authentication tools, including behavioral biometrics, device intelligence, and document verification.
  • Fraud/Authentication Tools Experience: Have experience in management/optimization of fraud/authentication tools, such as ThreatMetrix, Mitek, and IdP solutions.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Possess exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with solid critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and actionable manner.
  • Networking and Collaboration Skills: Possess interpersonal skills, collaboration, openness, and relationship-building skills.
  • Autonomy and Adaptability: Be able to work autonomously to affect change, with flexibility, adaptability to shifting priorities, and the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve the most effective result.
  • Vendor Management: Have the ability to understand a vendor product offering and integrate it into the current technology stack.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in Banking or Consumer Products: Ideally have a background in banking or consumer products.
  • Interest in Innovation and Technology: Have a clear interest in innovation and technology.
