Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in North Wales. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing break fix and maintenance on EPOS systems and tills in retail stores across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of EPOS systems and tills using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Install, move, add, change, and remove hardware and software products and components as directed.
  • Receive briefing for incidents and orders from dispatch function and update dispatch function of all unforeseen issues.
  • Provide detailed debriefing on all performed activities and inform customers about performed actions.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of more than 1 year Service Technician experience.
  • Successfully completed education in IT- or mechatronic/electronic-related profession.
  • PC literacy and good knowledge and application of relevant tools and methods.
  • Product knowledge of relevant industry and basic ITIL skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads, stand most of the day, climb, bend, and stoop while working on equipment.
  • Acceptance of exposure to the outside elements.
  • Shift adaptability, including an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize and inventory truck stock parts and tools.
  • Sense of urgency, organizational skills, professional presence, and work in a team environment.
  • Firstline or Service Technician work experience.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive day rate of £134.46 per day in scope of IR35 (umbrella).
  • Overtime rates for hours worked outside of your rota: £22.41 per hour (umbrella) for Monday to Saturday, £29.88 per hour (umbrella) for Sundays and Bank holidays, £2.00 (umbrella) for standby hourly rate Monday to Saturday, and £3.00 (umbrella) for standby hourly rate Sunday.
  • A van, fuel card, mobile phone, and laptop will be provided to carry out the role.
  • Classroom training with shadowing another engineer.
