Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Job Summary:
Fusion People Ltd is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing break-fix and maintenance tasks on EPOS systems and hardware at retail stores in your designated coverage area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Incident Handling: Troubleshoot and repair EPOS hardware and software issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- IMAC/R: Install, move, add, change, and remove EPOS hardware and software components as directed.
- Process Tasks: Receive and update dispatch function with incident and order information, provide detailed debriefing on performed activities, and inform customers about performed actions.
- Training: Participate in regular hardware and software trainings and receive certification after passing relevant tests.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of more than 1 year as a Service Technician.
- Successfully completed education in IT or mechatronic/electronic-related profession.
- PC literacy and good knowledge and application of relevant tools and methods.
- Product knowledge of EPOS industry and basic ITIL skills preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy loads, stand most of the day, climb, bend, and stoop while working on equipment.
- Acceptance of exposure to outside elements.
- Shift adaptability, including on-call rotation for evenings and weekends.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to organize and inventory truck stock parts and tools.
- Sense of urgency, organizational skills, professional presence, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Firstline or Service Technician work experience preferred.
What We Offer:
Fusion People Ltd offers a competitive day rate, PAYE option, and overtime rates. You will be provided with a van, fuel card, mobile phone, and laptop to perform your role. A normal day would be working from 8am to 6pm with a one-hour break in between. There is a 1 in 3 on-call weekly rota, which means in a 3-week period you will be on call one of those weeks.
