Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Fusion People Ltd. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our clients in the EPOS industry.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform troubleshooting and repair of EPOS systems and hardware components.
  2. Install, move, add, change, and remove (IMAC/R) hardware and software products and components as directed.
  3. Provide detailed debriefing on all performed activities and proactively inform customers about performed actions.
  4. Participate in regular hardware and software trainings and receive certification after passing relevant tests.

Requirements:

  1. Proven track record of more than 1 year as a Service Technician.
  2. Successfully completed education in IT- or mechatronic/electronic-related profession.
  3. PC literacy and good knowledge and application of the relevant tools and methods.
  4. Product knowledge of relevant industry and basic ITIL skills preferred.
  5. Ability to lift and move heavy loads, stand most of the day, climb, bend, and stoop while working on equipment.
  6. Acceptance of exposure to the outside elements.
  7. Shift adaptability, which would include an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends.
  8. Exceptional customer service skills are needed.
  9. Ability to organize and inventory truck stock parts and tools.
  10. Sense of urgency, organizational skills, professional presence, and ability to work in a team environment.
  11. Firstline or Service Technician work experience preferred.

What We Offer:

You will be provided with a van, fuel card, mobile phone, and laptop to carry out this role. A normal day would be working from 8am to 6pm with a one-hour break in between. There is a 1 in 3 on-call weekly rota which means in a 3-week period you will be on call one of those weeks.

This contract has a big earning potential as you'll be encouraged to do overtime which would be paid hourly at time and a half or double time.
