About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Community Eating Disorder Service as a Trainee Assistant Practitioner. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.

As a Trainee Assistant Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. You will work closely with our experienced team to deliver a range of services, including assessment, treatment, and support.

We are committed to providing a comprehensive training program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your expertise in a specialist area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care to patients with eating disorders
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver a range of services
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the development of the service and the improvement of patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Level 3 QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • GCSE in Maths and English (Grade C or above) OR Level 2 Key Skills / Functional Skills in Maths and English
  • To complete Foundation Degree within 2 years of commencing employment
  • Working knowledge of valuing People and other relevant Mental Health/Learning Disability documents/policies
  • Understanding of Recovery principles and Positive Behaviour Support Planning
  • Aware of the Code of conduct for Health Care Support Workers /Adult Social Care Workers in England
