Job Title: Attendance Liaison Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attendance Liaison Officer to join our team at Maidstone Grammar School for Girls. As an Attendance Liaison Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting a positive attendance culture and ensuring that students attend school regularly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with families to assess the reasons impacting on student attendance and ensure parents are aware of their statutory responsibilities.
  • Provide direct support for parents/carers of students with attendance issues and follow-up on absences to improve attendance.
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and outside agencies to build relationships and promote a positive attendance culture.
  • Use data to identify patterns of absence and ensure this information is available to staff.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with families and home visits would be an advantage.
  • A valid driving licence to carry out home visits.
  • Ability to work closely with families, engage parents, and establish great channels of communication.
