Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Engineer to join our Vehicle Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced composite components and assemblies that meet the highest standards of performance and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Principal and Senior Engineers to define project scope and deliverables, ensuring all requirements are met.

  • Proactively address faults, manufacturing queries, and other related departmental tasks.

  • Take ownership of key aspects of the Vehicle Design Vision, Goals, and Strategy to create a best-in-industry high-performance design team.

  • Contribute to Research and Development projects within the department.

  • Provide technical authority and support to project teams as required.

  • Deputise for Senior Engineers as needed and report back to peers and project groups.

  • Develop and maintain advanced and reliable design solutions with supporting calculations and unambiguous engineering drawings.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to support the wider organisation.

  • Degree-level qualified in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, or other related engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within the motorsport industry.

  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, along with good attention to detail.

  • Good CAD skills, ideally with experience of NX, with training provided for conversion from other CAD systems.

  • Passion for engineering, innovation, and detailed design work.
