We are seeking a Programme Manager to be an integral part of our UK operations.

In the role of Programme Manager, you will operate under the direction of the Head of Projects or Programme Director, taking charge of the delivery and management of a Programme or Portfolio of Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, direct, and coordinate the team's efforts to manage and execute projects from inception to completion.
  • Evaluate and track all project financials, including costs, operational budgets, staffing needs, resources, and associated risks.
  • Assemble the right mix of resources to fulfill the Programme or Portfolio's objectives.
  • Organize, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the Programme/Portfolio.
  • Ensure adherence to established Project Management processes and governance, cascading these practices throughout the projects within the Programme/Portfolio.
  • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure robust reporting and compliance with Management Systems.
  • Conduct status review meetings with project teams under your supervision, advising the Head of Projects or Programme Director on escalations, significant concerns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage project requirements, scope, and change management, including the approval of contract variations and early warnings within designated authority levels.
  • Encourage a culture of learning from experience and continuous improvement, collaborating with the Head of Projects and Programme Director to identify and integrate enhancements within the Programme/Portfolio.
  • Work closely with the Programme/Portfolio's Customer Account Manager to develop and maintain a work pipeline, fostering relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers, and establishing delivery strategies for new opportunities.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields (Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline) is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant project management experience is required; 10-15 years is preferred.
  • APM Qualified.

  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to lead and manage complex team structures.
  • Proficient in building relationships with stakeholders at senior management levels and client organizations.
  • Capable of analyzing issues, establishing facts, and making complex decisions independently.
  • Adept at driving change and improving working practices.
  • Knowledgeable in budgeting and resource allocation processes.
