Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key projects comprising product, process, and system development. They will contribute to the enhancement of our project management framework to ensure current and future projects are delivered in line with best practice project management techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, plan, track, and manage projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Lead project resources to ensure project objectives are accomplished.
  • Understand when project exceptions need to be escalated through governance processes and identify options and recommendations for resolution.
  • Build and manage meaningful and supportive relationships across the portfolio team, project teams, and with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to deliver assigned projects to defined cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Support tender submissions from a project management perspective.
  • Track and monitor project spending and report variances using Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
  • Prepare meeting packs/presentations, capture minutes, agreed actions, and update teams and senior management.
  • Positively influence key stakeholders associated with the project.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation templates.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed in line with the schedule.
  • Identify potential dependencies, assumptions, risks, exceptions, opportunities (DAREO), project problems, mitigation contingencies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Play an active part in Lessons Identified process across all projects and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Take ownership and pride in your work and promote project management success through the team.
  • Manage proposed changes to project parameters, such as scope, budget, and schedules.
  • Monitor the quality of project deliverables and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct project meetings and attend programme and portfolio meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Degree (or working towards) in Project Management (desirable)
  • APM Project Management Qualification (desirable)
  • Proven experience of delivering projects to time, cost, and quality
  • Successful experience of translating analysis into practical implementation
  • Proficient with the full Microsoft Office suite
  • Schedule baseline creation and management
  • Detail-oriented, high standard of accuracy, and quality
