About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Admissions team as a Seasonal Admissions Assistant. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our visitors, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate EPOS systems and handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a clean and welcoming environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Participate in events and activities, such as Lanterns and Light, to enhance the visitor experience.
  • Contribute to the sales and delivery of commercial products and services, promoting our zoo's offerings to visitors.

What We Offer:

  • A seasonal contract from 3rd November 2024 to 5th January 2025, with a rate of pay of £11.44 per hour.
  • A minimum of 8 hours per week, up to a maximum of 40 hours, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Annual leave accrual based on hours worked, plus a staff pass for zoo visits and complimentary tickets for friends and family.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for support and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a proactive and 'can-do' attitude.
  • Organizational skills, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with EPOS systems and cash handling, with a comfort level working in a static outdoor environment.
