Job Summary
Lancashire County Council is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to fill the role of School Crossing Patrol. As a School Crossing Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe passage of students across a designated road junction.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol the designated road junction during peak hours to ensure the safe passage of students
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust patrol schedule accordingly
- Provide clear and visible guidance to students and drivers to ensure safe crossing
- Collaborate with local authorities and schools to ensure effective traffic management
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- DBS clearance and medical suitability for the role
