About the Role

We are seeking to appoint an Inventory Control Area Supervisor to join our Stock Availability team at Ocado's Customer Fulfillment Centre. The main goal of the Area Supervisor for Inventory Control is to assist in the daily execution of Customer Fulfillment activities that ensure precise and efficient management of stock as it moves through the warehouse.

Shift Details - This position requires a commitment of 48 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts that include both weekdays and weekends. Typical working hours will be from 18:30 to 06:30.

Your Responsibilities

As an Inventory Control Area Supervisor, you will provide essential technical knowledge and oversee the monitoring of operational processes that empower the operational team to achieve exceptional customer fulfillment.

You will advocate for our five core principles: Safety, People, Customer Quality, Delivery, and Cost, promoting excellence throughout our operations. Safety is our top priority, and you will help cultivate a positive Health and Safety culture while upholding high standards. In terms of People, you will foster a supportive atmosphere, attract talent, and encourage a culture of respect and engagement. Customer Quality and Cost management are vital, ensuring accurate stock handling and prompt resolution of discrepancies. Delivery oversight will involve managing supplier arrivals, optimizing space utilization, and supporting team members.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a 24/7 inventory management, stock control, or operational setting, with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A methodical approach to problem-solving and keen attention to detail are essential, along with strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with Stock Availability systems and processes, knowledge of food safety protocols, and IOSH qualifications are advantageous. Proficiency in SQL and/or Data Studio, either through academic credentials or practical experience, is also preferred.
