About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an Inventory Management Area Supervisor to join our Inventory Management team at Ocado's Customer Fulfillment Centre. The primary responsibility of the Area Supervisor is to assist in the daily execution of Customer Fulfillment operations, ensuring precise and efficient management of inventory as it moves through the facility.
Shift Details - This position requires a commitment of 48 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts that encompass both weekdays and weekends. Typical working hours will be from 18:30 to 06:30.
Your Responsibilities
As an Inventory Management Area Supervisor, you will provide essential technical guidance and oversee the monitoring of operational workflows that enable the team to achieve exceptional customer fulfillment standards.
You will advocate for our core principles: Safety, People, Customer Quality, Delivery, and Cost, ensuring excellence in all aspects of our operations. Safety is our top priority, and you will promote a positive Health and Safety culture while upholding high standards. In terms of People, you will foster a supportive atmosphere, attract talent, and cultivate a culture of respect and engagement. Customer Quality and Cost management are vital, ensuring accurate inventory handling and prompt resolution of discrepancies. You will also oversee supplier deliveries, optimize storage solutions, and support your team members.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in a 24/7 inventory management, stock control, or operational setting, with the ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines. A methodical approach to problem-solving and keen attention to detail are essential, along with strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes, knowledge of food safety regulations, and IOSH certifications are advantageous. Proficiency in SQL and/or Data Studio, whether through formal education or practical experience, is also preferred.
