About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced LGV Shift Supervisor to join our team at Ocado Logistics. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the management of personnel, ensuring operational excellence, and adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of personnel by company policies and procedures
  • Manage and supervise the LGV team to ensure operational excellence
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor and oversee shift operations, including fleet, facilities, and people management
  • Communicate effectively with LGV drivers, shunters, and banksmen, internal departments, and outside service providers
  • Work with the management team to represent the brand, inspire and motivate the site team, and engage with them while demonstrating the company culture and values
Requirements
  • Good numerical skills and ability to read and understand numerical data
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to interact positively at all levels
  • Management or supervisory experience, particularly in managing large groups
  • Self-motivation, ambition, and confidence
  • Adaptability and ability to work under pressure
  • Management of people in teams, internal and external customer service skills, analytical and numerate
  • Current UK Driving Licence
  • Experience of being on an Operators License
