Job Title: Regulatory Counsel - EMEA

Job Summary:

MRA Search Limited is seeking a highly experienced Regulatory Counsel to join our client, a leading global data centres business, in their EMEA region. As a key member of the legal function, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the ethics and compliance program in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the ethics and compliance program in the EMEA region
  • Provide advice on compliance matters related to the company's operations, including real estate, construction, privacy, and other areas as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments, and provide guidance on compliance matters
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Qualified UK lawyer with 8+ years' experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs
  • Experience in the data centre or technology industry is welcome but not a pre-requisite
  • Extensive experience in privacy/GDPR is preferred, with a willingness and appetite to take on a wide-reaching role comprising anti-bribery and anti-corruption, trade compliance, privacy, internal investigations, and whistle blower/anonymous reporting
