About the Role

As a Regulatory and Litigation Counsel at Google Inc., you will play a critical role in shaping the company's approach to regulatory and litigation matters. You will be part of a dynamic team that works closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in European privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ePrivacy. You will be responsible for leading responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, and litigation, as well as providing legal advice on government and regulatory audits and exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, and litigation, ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Oversee the collection and production of accurate information in external submissions and disclosures, maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity.
  • Provide legal advice on government and regulatory audits and exams, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Admitted to the bar in the UK/EU and in good standing, or otherwise authorized to practice law.
  • 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at law firms, with a strong background in European privacy laws.
  • Experience in litigation, regulatory enforcement matters, and compliance with laws and regulations.
