About the Role
The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ENT Specialist to join our expanding Head & Neck team. As a Consultant ENT Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality service in Ear, Nose and Throat department, working closely with existing colleagues to build on the existing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a service in Ear, Nose and Throat department, working in conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues.
- Participate in the out-of-hours On-Call service for the department, providing telephone advice and major incident support.
- Provide cover for Consultant and Senior colleagues during periods of leave.
- Contribute to medical audit and research, ensuring the requirements of clinical governance are met.
- Ensure adequate arrangements for hospital staff to contact you when necessary.
Junior Medical Staff
- Play a full part in the professional supervision and management of junior medical staff.
- Take responsibility for teaching, examination and accreditation duties for junior medical staff.
Management & Service Development
- Take an active role in the management of the Division, working with Divisional Manager, Consultant and Senior Colleagues.
- Contribute to developing and implementing new ways of working, in line with modernisation principles and fit for the future.
- Take responsibility for the best use of departmental staffing and other resources to ensure maximum efficiency.
