Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to join our team at the Office for Nuclear Regulation. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the Human Resources Directorate and providing expert guidance to our Chief Executive and Board on people-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Human Resources Directorate, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services and the development of a high-performing team.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Chief Executive and Board on people-related issues, including talent management, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with our organisational goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including trade unions, to promote a positive employee relations environment.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy.
  • Manage the HR budget and ensure the effective use of resources.
Requirements
  • Chartered membership of a relevant professional body, such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
  • Proven track record of successful leadership experience in a HR function, with a strong focus on strategic direction and people development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions that align with our organisational goals and objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations for improvement.
