Occupational Therapist Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist to lead our Major Trauma Occupational Therapy team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality therapeutic care and developing the team's skills and expertise.
Main Duties- Lead and contribute to the development of a comprehensive occupational therapy service in major trauma areas.
- Provide expert clinical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and discharge planning.
- Recruit, supervise, and appraise team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and support to deliver excellent care.
- Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures, ensuring they are evidence-based and aligned with national standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and research activities, contributing to the advancement of occupational therapy practice in major trauma.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals, promoting independence and self-management.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with community services, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of care.
- Manage and prioritize the team's workload, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective time management.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with:
- HCPC registration and a degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Extensive experience in major trauma, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and services.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading teams and developing clinical services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective time management.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
