Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior School Administrator to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Administration:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for senior leaders and management
    • Manage the diaries and schedules of senior leaders as required
    • Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
    • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the office, including admissions, absences, and calendar management
    • Schedule regular events and meetings, prepare meeting materials, and manage attendees
    • Provide support and leadership for large-scale events
    • Take responsibility for admissions and absence management
  • Management Role:
    • Line manage administration support roles, with responsibility for performance management
    • Coordinate and manage reception cover as part of the administration team
    • Allocate administrative tasks to support roles, based on business needs and priorities
    • Act as a champion for our management information system, ensuring accurate records are maintained and issues are raised as necessary
    • Oversee the absence process, including registering students
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Good literacy skills to prepare correspondence and reports, and maintain records to a high standard
    • Excellent command of Microsoft Office Applications
    • Good organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Proven track record of successful support to senior managers
    • Experience of a busy and sometimes pressurized office environment
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Proven discretion, tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality in dealing with adults and children
