Senior Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join our team at Hays Senior Finance. As a Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for preparing management accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, as well as supporting the junior team with queries.
Key Responsibilities:- Dealing with clients and providing exceptional customer service
- Management Accounting, including preparing and reviewing financial statements
- Management Reporting, including providing insights and recommendations to clients
- VAT Returns, including ensuring compliance with tax regulations
- Team support and Development, including mentoring and training junior team members
- Systems and Processes Improvement, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes
- ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent experience
- Strong background in finance operations, with prior experience in a similar position
- High level of IT proficiency, including experience with Xero, Quickbooks, Sage, and Excel
- Prior practical experience of drafting management accounts, producing and reporting on management accounts, setting up accounting systems/functions, and completing VAT returns
- Excellent communication skills, including confident and articulate communication with clients
- Strong grasp of ICT/relevant software systems, with a willingness to utilize them to their full potential
- Proven track record of working to deadlines and effectively handling multiple priorities
- Vigilant approach to dealing with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
- Full UK driving licence with access to own transport, to facilitate client visits
- Practice experience within a digital team providing clients with software recommendations
- Previous experience of assessing and enhancing finance systems and processes to support an efficient and accurate accounts process
- Knowledge of complex VAT matters and ability to provide initial VAT advice to clients
- Previous experience in carrying out training of others
