About the Role

Hays Senior Finance is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join their Business Services team. As an Outsourcing Manager, you will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting services to clients, including management accounts, VAT returns, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance operations, with prior experience in a similar position. You should hold a relevant qualification, such as ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA, and have a solid understanding of ICT and relevant software systems.

This is a challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare management accounts for clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Support the junior team with queries and provide guidance on financial matters
  • Review client records and make recommendations for improvements
  • Assist clients with implementation projects, including planning and training
  • Dealing with clients, management accounting, management reporting, VAT returns, team support and development, systems and processes improvement
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Relevant qualification, such as ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong background in finance operations, with prior experience in a similar position
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience working in a digital team, providing clients with software recommendations
  • Previous experience of assessing and enhancing finance systems and processes
  • Previous experience in carrying out training of others
