About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Vehicle Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement to ensure the fleet is in good working condition.
- Diagnostic Skills: Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used, utilizing technical knowledge and expertise.
- Vehicle Servicing and Inspections: Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using handheld data capture devices if applicable, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- On-Road Support: Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries, providing timely and effective support to minimize downtime.
- Vehicle Testing and Evaluation: Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair, to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Technical Knowledge: PCV Mechanical, Electrical & Body Repair Skills, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and components.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, working independently and as part of a team.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
