About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Vehicle Technician to join our team at First Bus. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues, ensuring our fleet is safe and reliable for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle faults, including electrical and mechanical systems
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and servicing
  • Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
  • Conduct vehicle road testing to identify specific defects
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of vehicle systems and components
Requirements
  • Minimum level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent in Engineering
  • Full Cat B license
  • Proven experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
