Job Overview

The field of pediatric cardiac physiology presents a unique opportunity within the physiological sciences, and we are seeking a dedicated professional to join our arrhythmia team.

We invite applications from individuals with a background in non-invasive cardiology testing who are eager to enhance their skills in ECG analysis and broaden their understanding of physiology. The specialized nature of pediatric cardiac physiology necessitates a commitment to learning and the ability to navigate the complexities of working with children and young adults, particularly those with congenital heart conditions, acquired heart diseases, and hereditary cardiovascular disorders.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct ECGs, identifying and interpreting abnormal heart rhythms.

- Prepare, fit, and evaluate Holter monitors, event monitors, and blood pressure monitors.

- Upload Holter/Event monitor findings to the clinical database with appropriate follow-up actions.

- Maintain a positive team spirit and contribute to departmental advancements.

- Ensure accurate data entry, archiving, and updates in the Cardiology Information Database.

- Set up rooms, calibrate CPET equipment, and perform crash trolley inspections.

Academic/Professional Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or a relevant scientific degree.
  • SCST Certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification.

  • Registration with AHCS/HCPC.
