Specialist Consultant in Pediatric Cardiology with a Focus on Echocardiography

Position Overview
We are seeking a Specialist Consultant in Pediatric Cardiology, particularly skilled in echocardiography, to enhance our Pediatric Cardiology Service. This role is integral to our multidisciplinary team, focusing on delivering exceptional care and advanced echocardiographic services.
Key Responsibilities
This full-time position comprises 10 programmed activities, with opportunities for additional activities. The successful candidate will:
- Engage actively with the pediatric cardiology team, providing inpatient and outpatient services.
- Perform specialized echocardiographic procedures, including transoesophageal echocardiography and advanced imaging techniques.
- Support the cardiac catheter laboratory and surgical theatres with procedural imaging.
- Participate in the on-call rota for general pediatric cardiology.
Professional Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Current GMC Registration and a License to Practice.
- MRCP or MRCPCH or an equivalent qualification.
- Eligibility for GMC Specialist Registration in Pediatrics or Pediatric Cardiology.
- Accreditation in Congenital Heart Disease Echocardiography.
Experience and Skills
Essential qualifications include:
- A minimum of four years' experience in a pediatric cardiac surgical environment.
- Demonstrated training in congenital cardiac imaging, particularly echocardiography.
- Ability to conduct independent outpatient clinics.
- Experience in advanced echocardiographic assessments.
