We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiology Consultant to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with heart valve disease and echocardiography, and will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality clinical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients with heart valve disease and echocardiography
- Conduct outpatient clinics and inpatient ward rounds
- Perform echocardiography procedures, including trans-thoracic, stress, trans-oesophageal, and intra-procedural echocardiography
- Diagnose and manage patients with endocarditis
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit, management, and IT skills
- Contribute to the management and development of the clinical service
- Full and Specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Experience in echocardiography, including trans-thoracic, stress, trans-oesophageal, and intra-procedural echocardiography
- Experience in managing endocarditis
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of general cardiology and heart valve disease
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
