Cardiology Consultant in Heart Valve Disease and Echocardiography

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Consultant in Heart Valve Disease and Echocardiography to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients with heart valve disease and echocardiography, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing expert clinical care to patients with heart valve disease and echocardiography
- Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical services
- Working closely with the team of intervention consultants, specialist nurses, clinical scientists, and physiologists to deliver clinical services
- Participating in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit, clinical guideline, and protocol development, and clinical risk management

Person Specification
- Full and Specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Experience in echocardiography, including trans-thoracic, stress, trans-oesophageal, and intra-procedural (structural) TOE
- Experience in management of endocarditis
- Excellent clinical skills and good training in and sound knowledge of general cardiology and heart valve disease
