Financial Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Advance HE. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery and execution of high-quality, compliant accounting inputs and outputs.
- Report timely and accurate financial metrics to stakeholders.
- Line manage six finance operations personnel and work closely with two Finance Business Partners to ensure effective, efficient, and customer-focused design, adoption/usage, and continuous improvement of relevant systems and associated workflows.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, streamline systems and procedures, and optimize digital approaches.
- Liaise with key external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure operational and financial performance is developed to maximize return on investment and operational delivery.
- Strong clear communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to lead change.
- Experience of financial operations and management of operations, including project-based accounting.
- Experience in line management of multiple employees.
- Experience of leading change, leading people through change, and problem-solving.
- Experience of VAT returns (Partial Exemption VAT advantageous).
- Experience of external Audit and management of.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation, working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong skills in using MS Office packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power BI, and Teams.
- Qualified accountant, or studying final stages.
