Experienced Operating Department Practitioner

About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and qualified Operating Department Practitioners to join our busy Theatre Department at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As an Operating Department Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our theatres and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting patients from the holding bay and preparing them for surgery
- Checking patient details and ensuring accurate documentation
- Assisting the Senior ODP and Anaesthetist with airway management and administering drugs intraoperatively
- Transferring patients from theatre to the recovery room and handing over to recovery staff
Requirements
- NMC registered Nurse or HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner
- Experience of working within a hospital setting and managing workload
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
