Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

Location: Yorkshire (with travel for future projects)

Salary: Up to £55,000 (Depending on experience) + on-site bonus + car allowance + benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at D7 Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety strategies that align with our company's overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead the execution of health and safety strategies that align with our company's objectives.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislations, including CDM 2015.
  • Project Documentation: Develop and maintain all relevant project documentation, including the CPP, emergency plan, and fire risk assessment.
  • Contractor Management: Coordinate the work activities of contractors through permit to work and on-site meetings.
  • Client Support: Provide support and guidance to clients on health and safety matters, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Safety Culture: Proactively manage and influence safety culture across the site by leading as an example and rewarding positive safety performance through safety recognition programs.
  • Incident Investigation: Conduct regular site inspections and audits, and investigate incidents and accidents.
  • Project Support: Support the acquisition of new projects and manage and monitor the HSE Support.
  • Team Support: Support other team members and provide support to internal business functions and processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a Health & Safety Management role within a live construction and manufacturing environment.
  • Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, NEBOSH General Certificate, and a full driving license.
  • Skills: Motivated and driven individual with strong organizational skills, excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office), clear and engaging communication skills, and the ability to react quickly and efficiently to changing demands and requirements.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: Permanent full-time role with a salary up to £55,000 per annum DOE.
  • Benefits: Car allowance, on-site bonus, and 25 days annual leave + BH (after 2 years service you receive an extra 2 days, this happens every 2 years up to an additional 10 days).
