Ward Manager - Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly dedicated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to lead our team as a Ward Manager. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ward and providing a safe, caring, supportive and therapeutic environment for patients with acute mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to create a safe, caring, supportive and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to patients with mental health conditions, utilizing individualized treatment care plans.
  • Implement and monitor care plans and treatment protocols in coordination with the locality community and crisis/home treatment teams.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to staff members in order to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and a well-coordinated admission and discharge pathway.
  • Uphold regulatory compliance and adhere to quality standards to provide a high quality, safe and secure environment for both patients and staff.
Requirements:
  • Nurse qualification - Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with a valid UK NMC Pin.
  • Minimum 1 year experience within a Ward Manager position.
  • Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions and their treatment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace.
