Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at London Heathrow Airport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cabin cleaning operation, ensuring timely submission of operational and people management reports, and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the cabin cleaning operation to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Submit weekly operational and people management reports in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Proactively manage the operation, including resource management and planning.
  • Conduct on-site risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion.
  • Drive innovation and process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure SLAs are met or exceeded, and manage financial budgets in line with business development.
  • Establish KPI gaps and reinforce training and H&S to all staff.
  • Ensure the operation meets required standards set by LHR airport and legislated requirements.
  • Motivate and manage the leadership team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Deputise for the General Manager as required.

Person Specification:

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Ability to show initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a small team and build strong relationships with colleagues.
