Senior Analyst, Monitoring

In this role, you will support the Head of Compliance Monitoring by ensuring that regulatory compliance controls are functioning effectively through comprehensive monitoring assessments across various business sectors.

YOUR ROLE AWAITS

Key responsibilities include:

· Conducting thematic Compliance Monitoring assessments across multiple regulated entities in accordance with the risk-based Compliance Monitoring Plan.

· Overseeing compliance monitoring and reporting as outlined in the Compliance Monitoring Plan, ensuring that the organization adheres to regulatory standards and that any breaches are addressed promptly.

· Offering recommendations to address any identified control deficiencies or training needs arising from compliance monitoring activities.

· Assisting in the reporting and communication of compliance monitoring results, while proactively seeking ways to enhance efficiency across reporting and routine tasks.

· Managing the tracking, closure, and reporting process for Compliance Monitoring review actions.

· Contributing to the development of the risk-based Annual Compliance Monitoring plan.

· Performing technical research on UK and international regulations to inform the planning and execution of monitoring reviews.

· Establishing strong relationships with various business units, particularly with other assurance providers.

· Aiding in the design and upkeep of essential Compliance Monitoring documentation.

· Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and reviewing new consultation papers and policy statements to ensure that emerging risks are incorporated into Compliance Monitoring activities.

· Undertaking any additional tasks as reasonably required by the organization.

You will report directly to the Head of Compliance Monitoring.

We seek candidates with the following skills and qualifications:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

· A strong desire to enhance compliance and insurance knowledge through training seminars and relevant courses.

· Solid understanding of UK and European regulations.

· Ability to produce clear and precise written documentation.

· Experience in compliance monitoring or testing within a general insurance context.

· Familiarity with risk and control evaluation programs in a compliance monitoring setting, with input into program design.

· Proven track record in delivering compliance initiatives.

· Strong planning and organizational abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.

· Effective time management and prioritization skills.

· Strong communication skills to engage with business units at all levels and foster effective working relationships.

· Capability to work independently and make informed decisions and recommendations.

· Ability to take initiative and collaborate as part of a team.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

· Progress towards ACII or Compliance qualifications.

· Knowledge of US and APAC regulations.

· Proficient in MS Excel.
