Psychology Graduate Opportunities in Southampton

We are seeking Psychology Graduates to work as Learning Support Assistants in local Southampton schools. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work with children with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language needs, sensory processing disorders, physical disabilities, and communication difficulties.

Your role will involve learning about the cognitive, behavioural, and emotional needs of each student and how to attend to these. You will help identify triggers and barriers to learning, as well as implementing your knowledge of psychological theory and applying it in the classroom. Your primary goal will be to ensure every pupil feels safe and supported in school and to create a fun and engaging learning environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Psychology Graduate looking to gain experience working with vulnerable children. You will have the chance to network with Psychologists, Therapists, Counsellors, and Speech & Language Teams, gaining valuable experience that will enhance your career prospects.
